Dei to Dei

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It was a delight on Friday this week to have a visit from our new Principal, Mrs Annette Morey. Apart from meeting with some key staff, Mrs Morey had an opportunity to briefly address staff at morning tea and had some time walking through the school grounds during lunchtime. When a new Principal is appointed, there are typically all sorts of rumours about what changes might impact students eg we will no longer have this or that. Typically these are just rumours and have no basis whatsoever. It was a good opportunity for Mrs Morey to dispel some of those rumours during her casual conversations with students at lunchtime on Friday.

Over the next two weeks our Year 11 and Year 12 students will sit their mid-year examinations. We wish them well in these significant assessments and trust that those who have prepared well will perform accordingly. Students who are not on an ATAR pathway typically have a less rigorous programme of assessment than others, so this is a good time for these students to catch up on other assessment tasks and project work.

Regards and God Bless,

John Aldous

Acting Principal
