Dei to Dei

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Last Friday some of our students and staff attended Sorry Day events at Wellington Square. The stall from which we were selling home-made cookies attracted a lot of attention, was very popular and provided great exposure for our school in a very public setting. Many hundreds of boxes of cookies were sold. Well done to Mrs Bradley, Ms Brown and Mr Hurd and to the students who baked the cookies and ran the stall. More details are available under College Notices in this newsletter.

Well done to our Cross Country team for representing the College at Thursday’s ACC inter school carnival. A special thank you to those who assisted in preparing the team – coaches Ben Walton and Tayla Campbell, as well as Ms Wheeler, Mr Clarke, Mr Golding, Ms Croasdale and Mr Roberts for their early morning training sessions. We appreciate the efforts of those students who trained hard, ran hard and made the sacrifices so that they did not let down their team mates and their school. This is considered a premier cross country carnival for school students with just under 4000 competitors. Overall, Mater Dei finished 20th out of 64 competing schools.

Students in Years 11 and 12 continue with their exams next week, we keep them in our prayers and thoughts as they sit these important assessment tasks. Year 10 students sit their exams in the following week.

A further reminder about the P&F Quiz Night on Saturday 10th June and don’t forget to check out the booking website for Grease before seats sell out. Enjoy your long weekend!

Regards and God Bless,
