Mater Dei Care

Mater Dei Care is an initiative of the Mater Dei College Community and the Mater Dei Parents and Friends Association. This is a scheme which encourages families to participate in voluntary work supporting other families within their school community who are faced with emergency situations.

Mater Dei Care consists of a wide range of volunteers who help families facing traumatic situations in their lives.  These situations are assessed by the Coordinator, and any issue of confidentially is treated with respect.  The Mater Dei Care team will work within a confidentially specific framework as guided by the Catholic guidelines together with the Privacy Legislation.

Mater Dei Care Volunteers are asked to provide whatever support that they can give realistically. As the volunteers tasks outlined below show, it is not a time-consuming commitment that the carers are asked to make.  It is more on a 'rally-round' basis to help other families to cover emergency situations; the rally-round is coordinated through the Mater Dei Care Committee.  Please fill in the questionnaire below and return it to Mater Dei College and you will be contacted by a Mater Dei Care Committee representative.

If you require any further information please contact the Parents & Friends Representative via 9405 4777 or email.
